The RF / Microwave Test Engineer supports the production, test and failure diagnoses of our various product lines. As the RF / Microwave Test Engineer you will be working on bleeding edge technology, with some of the leading names in the defense industry. Located in a district city of Los Angeles, this opportunity has plenty to offer:
- The company is financially healthy with revenue booked for years to come
- A new ERP system has been implemented and as the controller, you will become the financial Subject Matter Expert on how to best utilize the ERP for cost accounting
- You will get to be a true Controller, with a team of Staff Accountants to work closely with you on daily responsibilities
- The organization is fast-paced and not political. As the Controller, you will have full autonomy over the day to day finances
Successful execution will require the Controller to gain control of the financial data, establish dashboards (to enhance insight) and train the financial team on how to rapidly ascertain and deliver on the financial reporting needs of internal and external stakeholders to retain our competitive advantage through operational efficiency and team-centric communication. You are ultimately responsible for the work and results of the entire Finance department while reporting directly to the CFO.
Responsibilities
· Evaluate the accounting department and establish an “inventory of skills” so that we understand where we are likely to need help as we continue to grow over $100mm
· Create a Dashboard System with the Key Performance Indicators to be used in Historical Performance Analysis & Forecasting
· Develop a process for inventory management (facilitated through Epicor) that provides us WIP & Material Accountability
· Hold a meeting with each Department’s Operations Leader once per quarter to review an Expense Analysis that includes trending and benchmarking across departments and time (as well as competitors when possible)
· Institute a regular meeting (at least twice per month) with the Purchasing Department to share results and findings and identify/eliminate waste
· Initiate and spearhead a shift to cost accounting
· Obtain clarity around WIP within our 3 facilities and each department as well as Purchasing with the goal to significantly reduce Raw Materials Material Costs
· Drive the continued implementation of our ERP system across all locations
