The Senior Architect, Reading Language Arts is defined as one whose primary concern is the development and improvement of the K-12 reading language arts curriculum and assessment of our products. The Senior Architect, Reading Language Arts has the role of researcher and decision-maker in advising product management and product development of the science curriculum and instruction.
Responsibilities:
● Direct the planning (Product Requirements Plan), development, field-testing, and evaluation of online science curriculum, assessment, and accommodations for diverse populations (ELL and Special Needs students)
● Research and keep current on all federal, state, and local legislation as well as academic research related to science, and reflect this research in the planning and development of online science curriculum and instruction
● Direct instructional-related internal staff development designed to support implementation of newly developed reading language arts curricula
● Participate in inter and intra-company initiatives such as: input for sales positioning and marketing collateral, responding to sales and customer inquiries, cross-company bundling of materials and research on reading language arts product effectiveness
● Keep aware of competing reading language arts software
● Manage team of instructional designers with a clear understanding of instructional design principles and product development processes
● Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about reading language arts product, research, and methodologies
● Represent our company in a professional manner when communicating with customers and prospects to present course information, answer questions, and resolve issues.
● Collaborate within and across departments to address production, sales, marketing, and other needs as related to our reading language arts products
